Vinylize 7" Case
Posted on September 21 2014
After 7 years of upcycling 7" singles into eyewear cases, we have decided to show you how it's done.
Most of the manufacturing solutions came from everyday household items: blow dryer, sewing machine, tacos... The materials were also accessible: vinyl records, zippers and felt.
After sorting the vinyl, the first step is to heat the outside edge, so the zipper can be sewed on.
A pre-cut felt lined reinforcement polypropeline disk is then riveted to the vinyl.
And finally the whole thing is heated and "tacoed".
